Hi, I’m Kay.

I'm a Machine Learning engineer based in the UK.

While investigating longstanding neuromuscular symptoms, my genetic testing turned up a variant of uncertain significance (VUS).

With more questions than answers, I started wondering whether I could use my background in AI to investigate it myself.

One rabbit hole led to another, and I found myself learning about genetics, protein structures, and computational biology.

This blog is where I document my learnings, share my investigations, and explore whether I can better understand my condition-- and perhaps even find a cure for it someday.
